Sipajhar Municipal Board is established in 2022. It is a newly constituted Municipal Board covering about 7.623 sqkm in Darrang District. It has 10 (ten) numbers of wards. Sri Pinakshi Sarma, Ward Commissioner of  Ward No. 10 is the 1^st Chairperson of this Board. The office of the Sipajhar Municipal Board is situated at the south west bank of the “Baladev Pukhuri” at Ward No. 10. Total population of the ULB is 11,471.
